Director and Clinical Psychologist, DClinPsy, PMH-C

Abigail Faber (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has been working in the mental health field since 2008. She graduated from the University of Cambridge, England, before earning her Doctoral degree in Psychology at the University of Surrey, England. Prior to founding Faber Psychology she has worked in a variety of outpatient settings, supporting individuals of all ages. Abigail has been working in private practice in the Chicagoland area since 2017 and is passionate about supporting adults in better managing difficult experiences to enable them to connect with the life they want to lead. She has extensive expertise in helping people navigate difficult life transitions and focuses on helping them identify what they care about, even in the midst of change.

Abigail is passionate about working with perinatal mental health and supporting all parents through the transition to parenthood and beyond. She has received her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and is experienced working with perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety, OCD and birth trauma. She recognizes how challenging this time can be for many parents and works on common issues such as relationship challenges, transitioning back to work, exploring parenting decisions and reconnecting to yourself.

Abigail believes that a strong therapeutic relationship, based on authenticity, openness, compassion and humor, is central to achieving change through therapy. She continually learns from and is inspired by the strength and resilience displayed by her clients as they learn and grow in their own lives.

Abigail is currently accepting new clients and has availability Mondays through Wednesdays. She sees clients both virtually and in-person.
